There are 1.1 billion girls in the world today younger than the age of 18, a powerful constituency with the ability to shape our future. They are brimming with talent and creativity and need to be allowed the freedom to attain their hopes and dreams without fear of discrimination, abuse, violence and lack of equal opportunities. Adolescent girls have the right to a safe, educated and healthy life, not only during these critical formative years but also as they mature into women.
With the right support, girls have the potential to change the world – both as the empowered girls of today and as of tomorrow’s workers, mothers, entrepreneurs, mentors and political leaders. The BARDOU Foundation stands with the global community to support girls’ progress everywhere.
